Saumya Kurup recently graduated from Ursinus College with a double major in International Relations and Politics, as well as a double minor in Business Management and Japanese. She has been engaged in cross–cultural outreach, research, and dialogue, and studied abroad in Tokyo, Japan during her third year of college. Saumya has been active in various intercultural student organizations, including the Ursinus College South/East Asian Student Association and the Ursinus College International House, of which she was President and Program Coordinator, respectively. She has conducted research on first– and second–generation immigrants, as well as the state of the caste system and human rights in India.
