Saumya is a graduate from Ursinus College with a double major in International Relations and Politics, as well as a double minor in Business Management and Japanese. She has been engaged in cross–cultural outreach, research, and dialogue, and studied abroad in Tokyo, Japan at the International Christian University. At Ursinus College, Saumya conducted research on first– and second–generation immigrants’ experiences with acculturation, multiculturalism, and assimilation. She also researched the state of India's caste system and human rights.
