Bob Kerrey Bob Kerrey (U.S.)

Until December 2010, Bob Kerrey was the President of New School University in New York City. A onetime U.S. presidential candidate, he represented Nebraska in the U.S. Senate for twelve years and before that, was Governor of Nebraska for four years. Educated in pharmacy at the University of Nebraska, he served for three years in the United States Navy and fought in Vietnam. Prior to his political career he opened a chain of restaurants and health clubs in Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas. Bob Kerrey is the author of a memoir, When I Was a Young Man (Harcourt, 2002).
