Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterbourne (U.K.)Baroness Emma Nicholson of Winterbourne, member of the House of Lords, is a former representative of the South East region of England in the European Parliament, where she was Vice–Chairman of its Committee on Foreign Affairs, Human Rights, Common Security and Defense Policy. She has also served as the Parliament’s rapporteur on Iraq and Romania and a member of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Equal Opportunities. She is the founder and Chair of the All–Party Parliamentary Group for Business Development in Iraq and the Region. She has served as Vice–Chairman of the Save the Children Fund and is involved in over 50 charities, including the AMAR International Charitable Foundation, which she chairs. The author of three books among other publications, she is a Trustee of the Booker Prize for English fiction literature. Baroness Nicholson has been a Life Peer and member of the British House of Lords since 1997.
