Frank Wisner Frank Wisner (U.S.)

Frank Wisner is a Foreign Affairs Advisor for Patton Boggs, LLC. Previously, he was Vice–Chairman for External Affairs of the American International Group and a member of the Group’s Board of Directors. A diplomat since 1961 when he graduated with a B.A. from Princeton University, he holds the highest U.S. Foreign Service rank of Career Ambassador. He has been U.S. Ambassador to Zambia, the Philippines, Egypt, and India, and has served as Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and Under Secretary of State for International Security Affairs. In early 2011, he was sent by President Obama as an envoy to Egypt to speak with former President Hosni Mubarak. Frank Wisner currently sits on the boards of directors of numerous international business councils, private companies, and non–profit institutions.
